The last few weeks have been filled with ‘Uni Open’ days, ‘New Baby Visiting’ days, ‘Judo Competition’ days & ‘Work Driving Me Slowly Insane’ days!
Today then, was to be my ‘Do Nothing’ day.
With my daughter at her friend’s house until at least lunchtime following the usual 17 year olds friday night partying session and Hubby at Donington Park all day doing his best Lewis Hamilton impersonation, I had the house all to myself. All my housework & ironing completed, I had the entire day to relax on the sofa!
The only time I ventured out into the cool autumnal morning, was to quickly jump on the sunbed. Within half an hour, I was back in my nice cosy lounge, on the sofa with my hubby’s fluffy blanket. My morning plans were set in place. I had the remote controls all to myself with a back to back marathon of Prison Break.
The only two tasks of the day would be to order our online food shopping and to get my camera gear ready for a very special wedding next weekend.
At lunchtime, I popped out to pick up my daughter. We had lunch, then lay back down on the settee to watch a movie, Blended with Drew Barrymore & Adam Sandler. We laughed, cried then laughed and cried again and again. It was the perfect movie for a Mom’s & Daughter’s Saturday afternoon together.
Not long after the film finished, hubby came home with a big smile on his face. I guess his day out, racing with his bff had been just as good as mine. All that was left to do was order food, shower and settle down to watch X Factor.
I guess that’s pretty boring for a saturday night, but for me it was the perfect end, to a perfect day. x
