Salon heaven!

I am sitting in the most unflattering attire. A black gown layered with a plastic apron and tissue paper folded around the neck of my t-shirt while tint is covering most of my head. I am at the hairdressers, a hive of gossip, sound and glorious smells!

I have just indulged in a creamy hot chocolate and a complimentary fairy cake… Yum yum!

One of the best bits about having your hair done has to be the small talk! I like small talk. Small talk is carefree and easy and something that as women, we can always indulge in whilst listening to idle gossip and occasional bitchiness that always exists in this kind of environment.

Amongst the flat screen television, the not so subtle music, the complimentary drinks and cakes, the free nail bar and rows of the most current high fashion magazines, are conversations about Breaking Bad, Britain’s Got Talent and of course, the good old British weather!

All I need to do is stop myself from nodding off while my hair is gently coloured and snipped into something a little more glamorous than the inch long roots I’ve been parading around for the last few weeks! The trouble is, I find the whole experience utterly relaxing so it’s quite a struggle to keep my peepers open! Another hot chocolate may do the trick, oh and maybe another fairy cake!!! Delicious! X
