After a refreshing break with old friends last weekend, my euphoric mood suddenly crashed on monday morning with the mood from hell! The day didn’t begin too badly, but after the drinks machine at work decided to spit coffee all over my cream vintage dress, my day just went from bad to utterly dreadful in one fail swoop and it simply continued to get worse by the hour!
My work load left me feeling like I was drowning and apart from a hug from my ‘office bestie’, nothing was able to lift my mood.
Hubby was away for the night with his BFF as they were heading to Brands Hatch for a day of racing in the now, very green, Lotus.
I popped round to see my BFF for a final meltdown, as her Hubby was obviously away with mine. She cheered me up a bit before I headed home to my youngest daughter and the two of us sat and watched Big Brother. When this finished, I climbed into my big comfy bed and said goodnight to my thoroughly miserable Monday!
Tuesday morning I woke feeling completely refreshed and much more positive about the day ahead. A well overdue hair appointment at 9.30 was followed by a trip to town to pick up my Hubby’s watch from the Jewellers.
Hubby was home on Tuesday evening and by then I was feeling human again! My dark roots had been restored to blonde and my bad mood was a distant memory.
Another busy day at work on Wednesday followed but without the drama and ‘doom cloud’ that hung over me on Monday! The week was now more than half way through, hallelujah!
By the time Thursday morning arrived, I was well and truly ready for the weekend. I felt pretty rough all morning and my foggy headache didn’t lift until early afternoon. By this time, the sun had well and truly popped his hat on and was calling me out to play, so after work, I made a quick stop at the shop then headed home for an hour of sun before commencing my weekend! I am off tomorrow, housework must be done, then after my daughters open day at Uni on Saturday, I will be sitting on my bum, hopefully in the sun and with a glass of something sparkly to relax with…
… Heaven!
