It has been quite a week in my scatty little world!
My daughter’s Prom was a huge success without any hiccups at all. All of them, (boys included) looked absolutely stunning. Our little girls were literally transformed, into elegant young women, all dressed up like movie stars!
A glorious bank holiday weekend followed. My best friend’s 9-year-old granddaughter, Megan, was staying with her for the weekend, so obviously, we had to take her shopping on saturday! This first saturday in May, was hit with April showers followed by glorious sunny spells. We received a pretty impressive soaking on our way to the bus stop! Once in the shopping centre though, there was no messing about. Two minutes in the Disney shop and we were in the queue with Rapunzel!
We met up with Megan’s Mom & Dad, half way back to their native Wales, on Sunday afternoon. Here we stuffed our faces at a restaurant before returning home to sit in the garden. Finally, some ‘tanning’ weather!,
We sat in the garden, sipping pimms & gin with strawberries, cucumber & plenty of ice, while we waited for the boys to come home and cook us a yummy BBQ!
Monday was another beautiful day, so a quick trip to B&Q to buy sun loungers for my bff’s garden and out came the skimpies!
We sat in the garden, all afternoon, drinking cider & talking rubbish!
It had been a stressful few weeks leading up to my daughters prom. So a big chill out with my friend was exactly what was needed. Sitting in the sun on bank holiday monday was the perfect end to a glorious weekend x
