Tuesday, was my Birthday.
I woke at 5.45 am to my alarm, then hurried down the stairs to open the pressie’s from my friends & family. I’d had some lovely things and had a feeling it was going to be a fabulous day!
After waking my daughter, we crept into the bedroom where Hubby was still sleeping! I just couldn’t wait any longer…
… The night before, he had brought my wrapped present downstairs, to entice me into opening it early, (I think this was to avoid me waking him up too early the next morning!) I was, of course, more than a little curious by this rectangular gift wrapped pressie, as I had absolutely no idea what it was? So I sat on the bed and woke him up! First, I opened my daughters presents, she had bought me a lovely Mommy mug, a gorgeous teddy and a plaque with a message that would reduce any mother to tears! (I will post a photo of that in a minute!)
Then the time had come for me to unwrap my Hubby’s present. drum roll please…… A MACBOOK PRO! Oh my goodness, I actually started to fill up, (I am getting very soppy in my old age!) Call me dramatic if you like, but I was ecstatic! My wonderful man could not have chosen a much better gift, especially since my old Macbook is literally about to die! After a great big hug and the biggest ‘Thank You’ that I could muster (whilst filling up with tears of joy), I picked up my pressie’s and went downstairs to play!
Lunch was to be spent with a gorgeous friend and her 5 month old baby boy. It was her birthday too, so I was really looking forward to it. We went to a lovely quirky little pub and treated ourselves to an afternoon tea consisting of sandwiches, cakes, tea in a pot with a tea cosy on! Oh and a couple of glasses of Prosceto and Bucks Fizz! They even brought us both a cupcake with a candle in it and a card when they realised it was ‘our’ Birthday!
The evening was soon upon us and our very best friends came round, to watch the England v Ukraine footie match and share with us a great big KFC Variety Bucket! This was obviously washed down with a bit more alcohol!
Well, thank goodness England won the Footie! So, after a quick tidy up, big goodbye kisses to our friends and another few mouthfuls of Kentucky fried chicken, it was time for my bed!
I’d had a Brilliant Birthday! This, I conclude, is due to the fact that I have Wonderful Daughters, a Fantastic Husband, a Brilliant Family and the Best Friends anyone could wish for.
Thanks to all of you for my Brilliant Birthday X
