Being faced with a four-day weekend in June, one can surely be forgiven for being slightly disappointed at the forecast of almost constant rain. I must just remind myself though, that this is Blighty! It is a Bank Holiday and it is June, of course it’s going to rain!
So, instead of getting all ‘down in the dumps’ about the weather, I have decided to use it to my advantage!
Saturday wasn’t too bad, so I decided to go car stereo shopping with Hubby, for one of his retro cars.
Sunday and ‘Oh My Goodness,’ it was raining like GOD had forgotten to turn off the tap! Good! I can get my housework and ironing done! Finally by 4pm, the cleaning was done, the clothes were ironed and put away and the chicken was happily roasting away in the oven! I was just in time for Charlottes Webb ‘The Movie’ and a nice cup of tea!
I wonder what the rest of this rainy Jubilee weekend will bring …
