I have to say, I wasn’t particularly looking forward to going to seeing this Movie. It was my darling husband that really wanted to go. To be honest though, it was bank holiday weekend, we had nothing planned, the weather as per usual was awful and The Avengers was showing on the Giant Screen at Millennium Point for a very limited period of time, so ‘why not?’ I thought.
We went with our friends and our youngest daughter. When we arrived, rather early I must add, we decided to get in line for nachos, hotdogs, popcorn & of course, beer for the boys! After our hotdogs were given away to another customer and a few tantrums had been performed! It was time to collect our gorgeous 3D glasses and take our seats in front of the Giant Screen.
I must tell you, the whole 3D thing, doesn’t really float my boat! Obviously it’s very clever but it’s also blurry and the colours are wishy washy! Oh well, the Movie was starting, Robert downey Junior, here I am, I thought to myself to get me in the mood for the silly Man Movie I was about to watch!
Five minutes in and my daughter and I agreed that watching Thor might have been a good idea, but hay ho, with Men this hot on the screen, did we really care???
The entire Movie was fun, action packed, hilariously funny in parts and so jam packed with testosterone that I had to keep a constant check on my drooling!
Seriously girls, if Captain America, David Banner, Iron man or/and Thor don’t keep you glued to the screen then I doubt anything will! Me and my pal were positively glowing by the end of the film!
The film was simply brilliant! If you want to escape from the dreary for a couple of hours, escape from “the real world’ then go and see this film. There is action, a little romance, humour and even a pretty good story line, plus, some of the sexiest Men (and Women) on the planet!
The Avengers is, in my opinion, “The” Chick Flick of the year, so far!
